My husband and I are new parents. We do not know how much to pay our babysitter. Our baby is 2 months old. The sitter is 16. The sitter comes to the house one day for 8 hours, and another for 4 hours (so a total of 12 hours a week). All she has to do is change diapers as needed, and do a couple of feedings. The rest of the time she either just snuggles the baby, or reads to the baby. Hello. I am in the process of leaving Navy Dep. The reason is that I was not able to get the MOS that I wanted and my recruiter told me that once I am in if it became available I could take it right away. The only part he left out was that I have to wait 2 years. Once I found that out I was pissed at him because I am giving 4 maybe 6 years to the Navy and believe me I am happy to do it but I want to make sure I spend that time doing what I want to do and I do not like being tricked into something. I have VERY dry skin. However, if I moisturize (even with non-comedogenic, oil-free products) my skin breaks out. So I either have to put up with zits or skin so dry it actually gets flakey. I am 26, Ive been with my boyfriend for about 3.5 years. He just turned 30. The first 2 years of our relationship were VERY rocky. Lots of fighting, arguing, jealousy, breaking up and making up. it was not healthy. We have come a very long way in the past year or more. I am surprised we made it this far. we have both overcome trust issues which was huge. it feels like we have really grown up a lot from where we started. we now rarely argue and have since moved in together, gotten a dog, etc. I am happy to have everything going well. but what really makes me sad it that it when i look back it feels like we completely missed out on the beginning erfly stages. I mean sure there were those anxious fun dates, first getting to know one another...but 6 months into our relationship **** hit the fan. we struggled and hurt each other pretty badly. its all in the past but i really feel like something is missing. Gingerbread ornaments that will last a long time?

In preschool we made these really cool gingerbread men ornaments for our christmas trees. Everything in the recipe was just like regular gingerbread except glue was added so the gingerbreadmen would last a long time. I've been looking for the recipe everywhere and I've been looking online too but I can't find it anywhere. The cookies do get baked, and they really do last a long time, eleven years later it still smells like gingerbread and it looks great too! If someone knows the recipe, can find it, or just knows enough about baking that they could tell me at what point I should add the glue to the gingerbread mixture I would be about the happiest person alive. Roy Jones Jr. was freakishly physically gifted, but his gifts did somewhat curse his career. When you have a fighter dominating so many other fighters in multiple weight cles, people tend to start calling them cherry-pickers and duckers. I think in part Jones Jr. did fight in an era in which the talent pool he faced wasn't as deep as, say, the welterweight division today. Rocky Marciano was actually plagued by the same problem during his active fighting years, but history has looked upon him kindly as I believe it will Roy Jones. I dont think he has helped his legacy in recent years, but I always believed he should have retired after beating John Ruiz for the heavyweight title. Signing with a big promoter instead of going about the business on his own could have probably built up his accomplishments a lot more as well. There are always going to be arguments against Roy Jones' wins.... Jeff Lacy was ped his prime, B-Hop was still un-polished, Ruiz was a paper champ. I dont buy it. RJ was a great fighter/entertainer and has numerous accomplishments that no one should try to take away from him...especially people that don't know what it is like to step in the ring with any of the guys RJ did. If a legendary fighter like Sugar Ray Leonard were to say Jones was a cherry-picker or ducker, then maybe I would buy the argument. But all of Roy Jones Jr's peers respect his accomplishments as boxing fans should. Fans never realize that they are witnessing something truely special until it is gone. Also, I don't think Roy Jones had a suspect chin. There were times in his career when he wore some good shots to the chin like a champ. I just think that the Tarver KO was the type of punch that changes a fighter. When you add that to an aging body and diminishing reflexes... well we now see the effects. If Jones had been caught by Tarver's shot 10yrs earlier in his career he probably could have recovered a little bit better.

I'm 25 years old and have been dating this 28 year old guy for about 3 months and some change. I've known him for longer though... my cat hates the raw diet and wet food so please don't lecture me on that, i have tried several flavors and brands and as a topper and he either cries for hours or eats around it. he has a water fountain at all times. and i always acclimate him to food. i think the junk foods like friskies and meow mix is better for him actually, shiny coat and solid stools. whenever i give him "premium" or "organic foods" like natures recipe, solid gold, or nutro it seems to be too rich for him, he gets diarrehrea and his coat is full of dandruff. now the junk food is what he enjoys (friskies, meow mix) and it is affordable. but its junk and i would wnat him on something healthier, without the dandruff and messy stools, and he refuses to eat science diet, which is ok because it is just overpriced junk food. what do you recommend? and please no raw or wet diets i have tried them he hates it and im not going to let him starve so i can say "o ya i feed raw only"

Sound system draining battery on 96' Chevrolet pickup?

I have a 96' Chevrolet pickup ext cab that I just put alot of speakers into.. I replaced all stock speakers in doors and back panels with JBL speakers, added two amps and may add another, there's four 9x6 JBL power series each in it's own box in the back seat, as well as two 12" kicker subs in one box in the back.. So the back seat is LOADED with speakers.. Problem is if I play it loud, it drains on my battery and I can see the battery meter on the drivers dash (beside speedometer and such), go down.. And the deck in the dash flickers and dims aswell when I play loud... What can I do to prevent this? Bigger alternator? Better battery? Something to do with more capacitors? Fuses? Etc? What can I do so my power in my truck doesn't dim and battery doesn't need to be constantly charged, also it would give my speakers more output if I fixed this problem

I would recommend a atiel. I have two and live in an apartment and have never gotten any complaints. They can be noisy (I can hear them in the parking lot sometimes) but they are covered at night so they are quiet until the morning. They make great little pets and are very social. ok for about a week i had a sore throat. No other symptoms just a sore throat, now for the last 2 days it was sore and kind of itchy. I am a social smoker. And my throat was so sore I did not have my social cigarette at all during this time. I am a medical istant student so during cl i volunteered for a stept culture ( testing for strep throat) and it came back negative. My teacher did say i had some bleed in my throat though. When i got home my throat got itchier so i snorted to scratch it and then i felt something come up a little bit so i hacked and coughed and out came this thing. I kind of resembled one of those shells and cheese pasta noodle but maybe 3 times bigger. It was thick and kind of spongy. I saw that it was a little blood tinged but not much. I really cant describe the color it was kind of like a dullish yellowish brownish color. The part at the opening of the (shell) was harder than the rest and a bit thicker. I started to take it to school or my doctor but out of curiousity i manipulated it and smashed it flat, then it dried up and began to break so i decided not to. I know for a fact that this was not food. This was nothing i swallowed not to mention if i actually swallowed this even not even knowing what it was i would have choked. Oh one detail i forgot to mention although may be a duh but I was also covered in mucus, normal colored mucus. And IMMEDIATELY after this came out my throat stopped hurting. At first it felt like something was missing in the back of my throat but then i just figured that was probablly because I had been in pain for a whole week and the sudden relief was akward. If i had to guess I would say it was either something from my lung or some part of it. Or a hardened build up of mucus but I would like to know what you guys think. No they do not look overweight at all. They look strong and sturdy and healthy and are cute as can be! My daughter is 8 months old and she is tiny. She is tall for her age at 27 1/2 inches but only weighs 14 lbs. She is healthy though and her doctor says she will catch up (she was a premie). She wears a size 3 to 6 months in shorts outfits and dresses but if the outfit is long pants or a footed sleeper I have to buy her a size 6 to 9 months for it to be long enough! My mom can sew so she always has to take up the pants in the waist so they won't fall off of her! I think that as long as your children eat healthy foods, get plenty of exercise, get enough sleep and rest, and are active and happy then they are perfect!

In case you aren't fully informed, I will give a little background. Gitmo (Guantanamo Bay detention camp) is a prison in Cuba for terrorists... Obama signed a paper at the beginning of the year to shut down Gitmo. And you know what he's going to do with all the terrorists who could care less how many people they kill and if they die or not? Some of them, he will just let roam free. Yep. And others, they will be placed in normal jail, so all of the poor people who maybe only committed a small crime would be stuck with m murderers. And not normal prisons in other countries, prisons in AMERICA. And people think it's terrible that our government is giving him waterboarding. What should i do to make my hair grow?

I damaged my hair 4 years ago by bleaching it and getting it permantly straightened. It stopped growing for a while. It still grows, but very very slowly. It has always grown slowly. I havn't cut the length at all for over a year, and it grew 2 inches at most. I wear clip in extentions, and use a ceramic chi straightener daily. I blow dry my bangs, which grow fast, but let my hair air dry. I'm willing to do anything to make my hair grow long. It is about 4 inches past my shoulders. I condition it a lot, use hair masks at least once a week, and use leave in conditioners. Is there a hair doctor or anything like that I can talk to? I'm willing to buy expensive products and try anything to make my hair grow long.

I would give it a few move days. If something is forcefully rammed through the skin and flesh, it is bound to be swollen. Clean them ALOT. if they start to fell warm, get red, or start oozing pus you should probably take out the earings and see if things clear up, if not fo see a doc. and if you start running a fever ( a sign of an infection) go see a doc. Building your own is a pain in the ****. My husband just finished ours. Looking back on it, we should have gone with a pre-fab. That would have been much easier and less labor intensive. The difference in price wasn't worth the trouble.

Memorial weekend my husband told me he had been having an affair that ended badly. He realized that I am his soul mate & we're working on strengthening our marriage. I want to work this out as I believe he is a good person, he just made a bad mistake. Before I found out about the affair, I was aware that he frequently visited web sites. I don't have a problem with that either. However, my 11 year old granddaughter also uses our home computer and I wanted to monitor what she was doing so I frequently checked the history on the computer. She is 1/2 African American & 1/2 Caucasian. I found a site that was entitled "Black teen girls" which was a site. I've asked my husband about it last night, knowing that he had this affair & knowing that he visits sites. I told him that I'd kill him if he ever touched her. He blew up at me and is now barely speaking to me. When I asked him what's on his mind he said "you do not want to know." He pretty much has clammed up. He is not related biologically to my granddaughter. She is definitely starting to develop. Should I have not addressed this with him? Before all this, I did inquire with my granddaughter about Google searches & black teens. I did not tell her what the search was for. She denied it saying it would be racist to put "black" girls when searching. Any comments, suggestions would be appreciated. I already feel horrible about the affair - I want to believe my husband - what would you do?

10 month old fighting sleep?

My son has been fighting sleep since he was about 4 months old. He will fuss, cry, kick, and squirm until he falls off. For this reason, my husband or I have to hold him in our arms and pat his until he drifts off. If we were to lay him down in his crib awake, he would roll over, crawl to the side, and pull himself up. He then cries his lungs out until he is picked up and "patted" to sleep. I don't want this to become an issue as he gets older, but I don't know what to do. I don't like hearing him cry like that, knowing I can soothe him. We do have a routine at night (diaper, pj's, cuddle time, and then sleep). But, it just seems he would rather stay up and play than sleep, even though he is extremely tired and exhausted. What can I do to help him sleep on his own without having to rock and pat him to sleep every night?

Well maybe just sit her down one on one and tell her that your concerned for her and you know that she wants to lose weight. Maybe ask her if she wants to go with you to do some exercising, so that way you both can do it together. Maybe you could both make dinner together and only cook healthy food that tastes good, that way she'll eat it cause its more appealing to her. Also try to go on walks maybe try 2 times a day one in the morning and one at night for at least a half and hour to an hour. Then maybe try 3 times a day one in the morning, afternoon and at night. I knew this person that did that and they weren't motivated at all, but he started walking and eating right and that's all he did and he lost 160 lbs, you couldn't even tell he was ever fat. Maybe try to post some pictures up on a wall to get her motivated even more. Set a goal and put it somewhere where she can see it everyday. Another thing that I've heard people do is they put a sheet up where there scale is and they put how much they weigh on it and when they start to exercise they put there new weight up under the first one. And the more they do that the more they'll see the pounds come off and the more they'll wanna keep doing it. But i would definitely keep pushing her cause i'm guessing that's what she wants from you. And the more you do push her the more likely she'll wanna do it. I really hope that I can help and hopefully some of my tips will work. Good luck and have fun:)

I'm pretty sure ALL labradors do that to scratch their back. My mother has a black lab who does that and I recently got a chocolate lab puppy too who does this constantly. If you are worried, ask your vet. But it should be normal!!

Do you have a hose? You can take it outside and hose it off. You really should get one if you don't, because rats tend to be pretty messy and the walls/bars can have little bits of urine and feces on them even if you try to wipe it up. Nothing beats a good hosing. I usually take a scrubber brush and a big soapy bucket of water and scrub all my cages thoroughly then hose them back off and let them air dry.

My bf has a problem?

he is uncirsized ( in colombia they dont do that there ). at the bottom of the tip of his foreskin there is a nub of skin the size of a marble. it isnt discolored or painful. its just there. he has had it since he can remember. this has come to both of our attention that this isnt normal, i have researched and looked at other uncirsized ' and it isnt common. we are affraid it might be serious. does anyone know about anything like this? please dont leave me responses saying ew or gross. im asking this question on here because i love him and care about him and i need help. :) i really appreciate it.
