Why does my TV power off when on a bracket?

Strange one this. When I have my tv on a stand there is no problem. I have recently installed a tv bracket . When I hang the tv here it powers off and will not switch on? The tv has never worked with the bracket by the way. Could it be an earthing problem? Thanks in anticipation.
