Are all born again christians, born again catholics?

I've noticed a trend with the born again people. They have either been catholic from birth or upon some traumatic experience decided that catholicism was the right path. The reason I ask this question is because pretty much everyone who considers themselves born again, believes in the trinity. The trinity is a catholic thing, but some people who call themselves born again christians claim they are not catholic. Am I missing something?
