You ought to be able to answer most of your own questions by reading the play. If not, you should learn how to use a search engine or just go out & buy a copy of "Cliff's Notes." Depending on what copy of the play you have, there may be a preface, introduction and/or afterword that would be worth reading. Reading an annotated version of the play would also help a lot instead of just the "bare-bones" play itself minus any notes, intro, etc.
