Hi guys-i need your help, i am confused about a guy! we were gettin on real well, then his ex is back, arghhh?

on the big rugby weekend he asked me to move in permently, i said i would rather wait till after xmas, he was fine with that, spoke in week arranged dinner for my b'day, he sent me a text saying he felt like crap and the ex has been in contact - asked if him & i can be friends! i went and saw him - she werent there, asked how he felt abou her & he said he dont love her no more but misses his friend but knows he has a better1 in me! he is also confused about his feelings, told me that he wants us to be friends if not it would be my loss!(i dont think soo!) says he really likes me wants us to be together but he needs to deal with his ex first (they were together for 5 yrs, he done/bought everything 4 her, asked her to marry him and she said no - i dont love you like that, i love you as a brother - according to him they spent more time argueing than any thing else) since 1st Nov i havent heard a peep - i will be walkin away but am confused with his convo/speech 2 how i am being treated
