Does this mean the soy is working?

For the last week or so my four month old has not been happy. Fussy and cries a lot. So today switched his formula to soy and has been farting all day. He is still really fussy but seams to be ping gas a lot more. Plus I gave him some gripe water. Does sound like it's working? Thanks for the help. :)
